Limited Federal Government
Jackson is a firm believer in States' Rights and believes that the federal government should be decentralized. Large infrastructure projects to build roads or canals should not be made by the federal government because it exceeds the authority that the government has. The individual states should fund roads and canals and should have limited interference from the government. Jackson is also determined to reduce the governments debts, as he is a strong advocate for fiscal responsibility and does not believe that the government should spend money on unnecessary projects.
